I'm the 62 year old guy that has decided to sell some of my collection, accumulated over decades. I'm going to try to sell some of the Ruger products here. Maybe try some of the others on gunbroker. Anyway, this is my test run!
I bought this revolver back on August 20th, 2014. FFL receipt was still in the box. I had seen a Mounted Shooter completion and really liked it. Don't have a horse and had no inclination to actually compete... but I liked watching it, saw Ruger was making this gun and thought it would make a good packing gun around the 90 acre property. Brought it home, fired six shots through it, cleaned it all up, put it in the safe... and that was it. I have gotten it out of the safe to show to a couple buddies over the years but never fired it again. Still had the box and paperwork ... so thought I might as well sell it and use the money for our move to Ecuador.
Here we go. I really no idea how to price this... I see the hammers going for big money! Standard .45 Colt. If I was posting this on gunbroker I would do a cut and paste from a Ruger site saying all the "features"... but surely we all know this.
I'm going to start at$850 $800 plus $40 shipping from my FFL to yours.
Let's go to just astraight up $800 shipped. That puts me in line with some of my offers. First PM that says they want it. Probably won't be able to ship until next week since all this family Thanksgiving stuff is happening.
EDIT 28 NOV. I had three offers. The high one was $775 shipped, the other two were $750. High offer asked for an email... I sent it... got nothing back. Since I want to sell 25-50 guns between now next summer... I've got to move faster than this!
$750 shipped. I hate to put a good Ruger on gunbroker and have to deal with all that... but at some point I guess I will have to do it!
