M77 .270 lt wt

so a guy at work brought in a 1987 vintage M77 in .270 with the lighter shorter barrel and the tip of the forearm was black. any collector value on those or they no more than ordinary M77 of the vintage?

You work somewhere where they let you bring guns to work? Amazing :!: I thought someone would have hazard a guess by now, so here goes. Value depends on a lot of factors like condition ( :!: ) with or with out iron sights, New in Box, etc. The 270 is probably the most common caliber and therefore not worth as much. If it is a smooth barrel and average condition I'd say around $450 - $500. If it has more wear on it around $350 - $400. If its NIB with iron sights i'd say around $600 - 750.
