Did you have the mag apartAnd then reassemble. As I recall I did that with an LC9s some years ago. I put back together with the follower reversed, and then could not load it fully. If you did not maybe you should take the mag apart and see if there is anything in there that is blocking full compression of the spring.

Call Ruger to report your experience, and ask for a new mag spring.

Follower might have been put in bass akwards at the factory...

Take the magazine apart and lubricate it. Makes a world of difference.
