Did all the Buckeyes have steel grip frames? I happened upon a nice shooter in 32 today and the thing has a steel grip frame that fits like a glove. I never knew that these had anything but aluminum grip frames. Of course this is my first one but always assumed. Yeah, I know what assuming does. :lol:

Thanks. I love this thing. I always wanted one but never came across one for the price I thought was reasonable, until today. No box or papers but like I said, a shooter with both cylinders.

I'd like to come across a .38-40/10mm version at "my price".

Found one the other day but only had the 10mm cylinder and they wanted $650. I think I laughed all the way home.

Wasn't the fit and finish of the Buckeye Blackhawks considered to be a step above the Blackhawk of the day...

Mine sure is. It's got the polish job of a Super instead of a plain Blackhawk.
