 Post subject: BIT by the 45 Colt bug

Broke down and finially got a used 45 colt/45acp Ruger blackhawk. Friday, shot a few rnl I had cast. With bigger grips, it was not bad on recoil. A keeper. greg

They can be as mild or wild as you like.
You need a few more. I think I have an even dozen Ruger Blackhawks and Vaquero's in .45Colt only four convertible's though. :o

If I was limited to only one caliber in all my revolvers, it would be a 45 colt, hands down. You need to play with some hot 454/475/500 loads and evennthenhot 45 stuff will feel lite. It's a great round as you can load it down with lite boolits such that the whole family--young ins included can play, or heavy andnhotnsuch that it's lethal for just about any animal you could hunt--this continent anyway.

Contender: A new model, 5.5" used pre internal lock. Only flaw was a ding on bottom of grip frame. 200 gr. swc is next on the list to try. later, greg

I have 2 .45 colts, and they are great guns! Those 200gr bullets are great plinkers
