Does anybody know where I can purchase a ruger sr1911. I live near Gurnee, IL and Im new in the area. I've been to Bass Pro on Gurnee Mills and they ain't got any.

Try putting a "Want to Buy" ad in the classified section here. There's been 2 or 3 sold here in recent weeks.

There is several on gunbroker if you are in a hurry. Other wise start making calls, I got mine from Kittery Trading Post. Not sure if they have any in stock but they seem to get them in often. Another place to look is on the Ruger website under events. Call the dealer hosting the Ruger event and they will probably have them in stock, you can pay by phone and have it shipped. Good luck, I hope you find one. I sure like mine!
