Just picked up a KRBN-415W, Sainless, Bisley, 5.5", .41mag for $400, plus fees, at a local show. Ser. no. 48-21124.
I'll call Ruger on Monday to verify shipping dates, etc. I don't have the box but the dealer promised if he found it he would send it to me. We'll see.
Gun is with out scraches, but has been used.
Ser. no. is outside of Chet's range (which is only about 300 deep) but within the 1,000 or so he thinks were made.
I think I did OK. :D

WAYNO's latest Acusport Bisley, .45 Convertible,

And, for the record, Acusport told me that this one did NOT come from Acusport.

WAYNO.

Clearly it is a 2008, will you share the date on the casing bag?

The dealer send me the box! :D
It has all of the paper work and the spent shell. Shell date is 8-28-2003.
KRBN-415W, Ser. No. 48-21124, .41mag, 5 1/2" barrel, stainless.
I assume by the shell date that this is one of the Acusport versions.

That is really strange that guns with lower serial numbers of the same caliber and model were fired 2 and 5 years after yours!

I would love to do a scavanger hunt at the Ruger Factory

I called Acusport today about mine and the lady said that it shipped in October of 2007. She also told me that they had discontinued this model in January of 2008.

BTW, mine also has the black/brown/gold laminated stocks.

AcuSport Number 48-0989X has a fired case in the box marked 10-02-01. I am guessing this one is from the first batch of AcuSport Guns? Warning on the side of the barrel. It's a .45 Colt, walnut stocks, 5.5", stainless with the rollmarked cylinder. Are the '01 guns bringing more than later ones? Thanks, Marc

I have a model KRBN-455WX Convertible with serial #

48-2396x

Case envelope dated 02/09/05

Warning notice on side of barrel. I looked at several the shop had and picked the best. All the guns had polishing flaws, dings, scratches, etc. Quality control was really bad at this time. Mine still pierces ACP primers with some types of ammo, even though it has been back to the factory once for a new cylinder.
