I was under the impression that the SR9c had been discontinued by Ruger. Glad to see it is still with us. I removed the magazine safety to avoid any damage to striker or magazine disconnect during dry firing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8dHXND_9-bE&app=desktop

Glad they are still around also. Are they still made in America. Mine says Prescott Az on it. I saw a video that lead me to believe some were made in china.

The SR series pistols are no longer regular Ruger production models. They are not listed in the 2020 Ruger catalog and the only models on Ruger's website are Distributor Exclusives.

A large distributor -Sports South- commissioned Ruger to make more SR pistols, but how many pistols and for how long is unknown.

There's about 15 different models of SR semi-autos on Ruger's web site now, not counting the SR1911.

https://ruger.com/products/srSeries/models.html

SR, SRc, 9mm, 40 cal, 45 acp ......

Somebody must be buying them if Sports South will promote and sponsor so many. Only SR gun I've ever owned is the 1911.

I bought an SR9 from Sportsman's Warehouse in December for $249.99.

Beats the first one I bought 12 years ago for $430 at a gun show.
