We had a tom cat, Mozart Scaramouch Zed** who would bring his kills into the house to eat, use to find bird feathers, mouse and squirrel tails here and there now and then. When our female cat had kittens, he would bring in a LIVE mouse and drop it front of them trying to teach them to hunt.
He had a good soul and lived to 13 or 14 years of age and then disappeared one night (A long story).

** Mozzie cat was named by his original owner, an English girl who messed up her immigration and had to return to England; I don't remember when his name got shortened to Mozzie cat, but he was a good soul.

When you live in an old row-home, you share your neighbors' pest problems. No matter what we do, we still get mice from time to time.

Our cats are 100% indoor cats.

Sarge is the hunter and will stalk and wait out any mouse that gets in. They usually end up under the kitchen cabinets and range. However, they are toys to him. He will catch them and bring them around into the living room and then let them go. He lacks the killer instinct...

Daisy couldn't be bothered, unless a mouse runs across her and wakes her up. At that point, it'd be dead, as she does not have the same inhibitions her brother has...
