Apparently Ruger has produced an Officer model. A member posted a picture of his on the 1911 forum, and he said it was just released. His is in 9mm. I looked at the Ruger website, and it doesn't show one. Maybe this is a special edition, like a Talo model, or something. Anyway, I hope Ruger does make an Officer model in standard production. Has anyone here heard about an Officer model?

Well, the new PC 9 got leaked a day before it was announced. Perhaps an announcement is imminent. An officer model would be really good.

I tried to copy his picture and post it here, but I couldn't get it to work...I'm technically challenged. It's a good looking pistol, but I don't like the slide serrations...they look like sideways chevrons.

Looks like they went full compact. Was hoping they would do a CCO with s 4" barrel/slide. Oh well, there are others.

I want a cco, officer frame, commander slide. I'd buy one in 9mm and one in .38 Super if they'd make them.

Yup, I'd buy one too. I have a Sig C3 and really like it.

On the Ruger web site this evening:  :D

https://ruger.com/products/sr1911/specSheets/6758.html

Same for the full size 9mm Target:

https://ruger.com/products/sr1911/specSheets/6759.html

Has the 10mm style barrel:
"Black Nitride coated bushing-less bull barrel and full length steel guide-rod."

What specs make a gun an "Officer model"?

Edit: I really liked the look of it, but $979 on the Ruger site?!?! I know, retail will be less, but I can't see a justification for that price even if I had the money. Accepting 1911 parts is nice, but...

Just saw these this morning on Rutgers website. 3.6" barrel. I'm wondering if I could fit my 9mm SR1911 Commander slide onto this frame?
