<SPF> One of the very, very scarce Ruger Old Model 357 Blackhawk, protected sight, Type 1 Transition gun. This has the XR3-RED gripframe, steel ejector rod housing, and Micro marked rear sight. Gun is in 97+% condition with slight bluing wear on the left side of the muzzle and on the ERH, along with light handling marks. No box or papers. S/N is 43145.

According to Chad and the RENE, there are only ~300 of these known. Also noteworthy is that this one is consecutive the 43146, which is the only known factory second Type 1 transition...

Asking $875, shipped to your FFL.****SOLD PENDING FUNDS****

$875 is a steal for this gun. When I was collecting Rugers I had a complete set of these transition guns, minus this variation. I looked for 30 years and nevered found one for sale. Wake up collectors it may be a long time before you find this variation for sale again.

So true, the 3 colts I bought this week have temporally put a Kabosh of my funds.... I would buy both of Bigbore's classics in a second. On a good note, these gems wont last long, someone is going to get a great deal.
