I have what I understand to be an Acusport per the seller at a gun show a couple of years ago. This is a .41 mag 5 1/2 in ss model 00471 Super Blackhawk catalog #KRBN-415W, serial # 48-206XX test fired by Ira H. Day on 8-25-2003. I had not paid any attention to this topic until today. This gun had been shot quite a bit and I was told it had an action job by a gunsmith. I know it has a very smooth hammer and a very nice 2 1/2 lb trigger pull. I reload using Winchester primers and have never had a misfire. I bought a stainless single six with 5 1/2 in barrel from the same man at the same time. It was unfired and was from 2003 also. It has since been fired.

The grips fit so bad, I'm ashamed to post a photo of it. Gotta do something about that. Any suggestions?

Not too pleased with grip fit on mine either, lets hope it shoots well.

Here are my 3 Stainless Bisley Blackhawks:
all are KRBN-455WX
Serial # 48-29790 (8/21/06)
Serial # 48-29852 (8/18/06)
Serial # 48-29871 (8/21/06)
* ALL 3 fired shell case envelopes signed by Ruger employee Kevin Skinner.
#48-29852 was test fired on Friday - the other 2 on the following Monday... just an interesting little tidbit.

Here's my misprinted oddball. Its a .41 mag but the box sticker says its a .44. Serial # is printed correct (box decal matches gun). But its definitely a .41, catalog no. KS-47NHB on decal but should be KS-417NHB. Fired casing envelope also says .44 but casing is a .41 in it.

That's not the half of it! Your gun is also supposed to say "SUPER BLACKHAWK" on the left side of the cylinder frame. You have one of a few made with the "BLACKHAWK" rollmark.

I read on the "other" Ruger forum, that Acusport is releasing another series of .45 ACP/.45 Colt Bisleys.

Quick question(s): I'm kind of newbie here, though I spend a fair amount of time over on the S&W forum - Is this a reference to Rugerforum.net?, and, Could somebody please tell me what the differences are between Rugerforum.com and Rugerforum.net?

I called Acusport and the sales guy I talked to looked it up in his system and there was no indication of any in stock or a pending order. Not to say it can't happen, just saying I couldn't order one when I just called
I just purchased a Bisley Convertible 45 in stainless steel from Seebs on gunbroker via my LGS.
They are a Distributor Exclusive and were ordered by Williams Shooting Sports. They in turn have doled them out to selected dealers for retail sale.If you have an FFL you can buy them direct but I think the minimum purchase is 10....

I didn't read it all, but since you're talking numbers, I've recently been getting in and seeing other Bisley 5.5" stainless .45 Colt guns from Williams in the 0472 and 0470 models with 38- serial numbers instead of 48-

I've asked Williams, and they said they got shipments in with both lead numbers, and have no idea what's going on.

More numbers for you to chase :!:
