FS: Ruger New Model stainless steel Single Six 22 LR with a 5.5" barrel. This has the star stamped under the cylinder frame in front of the gripframe, indicating it was a single cylinder gun. Catalog KS-5. S/N is 63-77218. Gun is in very good condition wiht just a couple of usual handling marks here and there. It has been fired but it does not appear to have been very much. It is pre-warning. It does have a set of later vintage Ruger rosewood grips on it instead of the correct walnuts. No box or papers.

Interesting - I already have one like it. My s/n is 63-77188, and it is also a 5.5" Must have made a batch of the 5.5" together.

I do however need the short and long barreled Blue 'stars'. that is if you have one stacked in a corner somewhere.
Plus, another bump for you.

Is it possible to determine if the grip frame screws have been removed?

I cannot see in the photos (other than the front screw near the star).

Thanks -

Monty,

While the screw holes are a bit dirty, it does not appear that the screws were removed. All 4 of the other screw heads appear to be in the same condition as the front screw.
