Rugers web site for serial numbers is, at best, a "guide". It's well known to be full of errors. RENE seems to be the best source.

I do not have an update but you can shoot an email or PM to member Chet15 and maybe he can help. Also not sure there's been enough time to gather all the info or if Ruger has shared it.

If you got yours in 2011 wouldn't it have to have been made in the 100th year?

thanks Hittman, thats my point, my SR1911 was made in 2011= 100 years of the 1911 & Rugers 1st model! But anyone looking up serial numbers on the RUGER SITE would be missinformed! and who knows what problems it may cause! Ruger should fix there to the public info!__bedrockfred

You can use the 'Tell the CEO' function on Ruger's main page.

Please pardon my ignorance, but where is this list of serial numbers to which you refer? I can't seem to find it on the Ruger website.

TIA

Then why are you whining here?

Write to Ruger.

0006X with a shell casing date late 2011

1022X with a shell casing date late 2011

0932X with a shell casing date early 2012

Ruger has never shipped in a SN# sequence. Built is batches and shipped that way too.

So if you want a 2011/ 1st year/ "100 year" produced gun you better be a lookin at the shell casing date....eahhhh

That only works if you live in a free state. Until recently, The People's Republic of New Yorkistan was collecting those shell casings. A multi-million dollar boondoggle that was supposed to solve all sorts of crimes...but sadly solved exactly zero.

FWIW, I got mine in May 2011. Can I assume mine is indeed one of those 100 year specials?

:)
