I joined many years ago and evidently had a different E-mail address?? On my old computer I had it set where I didn't have to log in. Bought the new one and it`s impossible to see the political section or post. I dug out the wifes very old slow notebook and see that I am still logged in and using it to write this. On the new computer when I try to log in or somehow rejoin (No lead for that) all I get is a message that my user name and E-mail address isn't in the system. What do I need to do to get back on? I don't have a clue as what my old e mail that I must have used when I joined is. Thanks

On that old computer go to the user control panel. Then edit account settings. You should be able to see the old email and make changes.

On our new computer (or any computer or device for that matter) click on log-in, enter your user name and password and click the boxes below the password so it'll remember you.

Just tried that, no luck. Besides forgetting my old E-mail I also forgot my password! I tried changing my old E-mail to my newer one and it wants my password which I also forgot long ago. I am okay with creating a new password but the system wants my old password to do it!. I still don't know how to get around this problem!

I just sent you a PM with the email you used when you registered.

I registered with Hotmail. I changed to live.com years ago and have long forgot my password there too. I have no way that I know of how to check that Hotmail
e mail.
Why is there no way to just rejoin here? How about just typing my new e mail here and having you resend your message to my new e-mail? Is that against a rule?
I shoulda went to night school for computers.

Bill, I'm not sure Hotmail addresses work here.

Hittman, Cholo . . . is this correct?

I think they worked when he originally registered many years ago. I also think that emails like that became banned for new registrations (to prevent scammers) but that those already "in" were not effected.

Maybe Cholo knows more or can correct me.

As far as I know none of the generic emails will work now; Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo, AOL.
