So, for a few days I was having log in problems. I kept getting a note that I had exceeded my log in attempts.

That's ok, as it directs you to a page where you fill in the info and then enter a written Captcha. Problem is there is a note that reCaptcha one is down so you can't go anywhere.

Anyone else ever have this issue? Mods/admins?

CAPTCHAH IS DOWN AND WE ARE CONSIDERING OUR OPTIONS. BEST WE CAN DO FOR NOW. W/O IT WE ARE EXPOSED TO NEER DO WELLS AND OTHER GOBLINS. NOT SURE WE NEED IT AND THE TECH IS WORKING ON THE ISSUE ALONG WITH MANY OTHER ITEMS.

I know this is an old thread. But I cleared the history on my phone, so it logged me out just on my phone. I mis-typed my password and now it wants me to do this Captcha thing also. But as mentioned above, it doesn't work.

Any suggestions? I use my phone more than my computer.

It's not old timers squatting on the line. I never log out of the Forum, but I do shut my computer off at night. It just auto logs me in each time I click on the www.RugerForum.com link.

Will the captcha time expire and allow me to log in again? It's doing the same thing on my kindle tablet. I even tried to register again with a new user name "Kevin1" for example. But it won't let me register.

Is this a closed forum now?

I'm not complaining or wanting to break the rules, but it's just nice to use my phone and tablet, not just the computer to post messages here.

FYI.... I was still getting the captcha error. It told me I had exceeded my log in attempts and had to solve the captcha message. But as noted above, the captcha isn’t working.

I went to the log in screen and selected the “forgot my password” the. I got an email with a temporary password “5ASSEDITGEGY7.” I then clicked on the link in the email to log in with this “new” password. And voila! It worked. Then it’s just a simple matter of resetting my password.

Now I can use my phone. However, I’ll have to go and sign in again with my updated password on my computer and on my tablet. But that isn’t a big deal.
