We were here 3 years ago. It's a very nice place close to the Saguaro National Park outside of Tuscon, Arizona. It's a combination of a small zoo with desert type animals and lots of natural scenery, like Cacti, etc. Here's their website, unfortunately they are closed right now: https://www.desertmuseum.org/

Oh, perhaps the nicest thing about this place is the enclosed Hummingbird display. The Hummingbirds are right up close to you.

And this friendly guy... (He was protected from me behind some glass.)

Great place! Thanks for bringing back some memories of Christmas two years ago.

I had a long talk with their crotalid specialist and learned a lot about rattlesnake venoms.

That's the one place I always recommend to people that move here to learn about the plants and animals that can put a hurt on you here in the desert, awesome place, I have lived here since '69 and have visited the AZ Desert Museum many times.

One of our favorite places, ever. Made several visits there when we lived in New Mexico. One memorable desert tent camping trip; we stayed at the park the county operates near there. Had my oldest's 7 year old birthday party there, August 28. We went into town and got a cake. It was so hot the icing was melting and running off the cake. But when the sun went down, it was wonderful.
