Well, the other day it was unseasonably warm, and ain't no way was I going to fight the mosquitos to deer hunt, so I decided to sight in the 45 Bisley Hunter. I had mounted the Nikon that was on my 44 on the new Weigand rail and rings several weeks ago, and had been itching to shoot this bad boy. All I did to the gun was ream the throats to 0.4525" with my Manson Reamer and bend the factory trigger return spring. The trigger is pretty crisp and not terribly rough. I grabbed my Bog Pod and PSR and sighted her in at 20 yards then moved back to 50. I am pretty happy with the results of the Mihec Molds Ruger Only 307 grainer with my go-to load of WW296. Now if I can just see a deer... ::)

That is a 1" dot.

Wow! I like it. Great combination; Revolver, Scope, and Reload.

Appears you have done it right.

Since I like to Reload, please tell me more why the 307 Mihec
(Ruger Only) is for Rugers Only. Also this Ruger is a 45 Colt
Cartridge, not 45 ACP correct.

Thank you for the Range Report and Picture. Impressive.

It is 45 Colt.

It is my understanding he called it that because of the length of the bullet. It works fine in my single shot H&R and would probably be fine in a BFR or Freedom Arms. The cartridge doesn't fit in my midframe Ruger and I doubt it would fit in a S&W.

I saw this pic & all on the SA Forum,, and it reminded me that I needed to finish sighting in my .45 Bisley Hunter.
I use a Miha bullet as well, but a different one than Joe is using!!

Thank you for the explanation of why the 307 Mihec
(Ruger Only) is for Rugers Only.

That Boolit is defiantly sticking out more from the
Cartridge Case. Not like my 250gr 45Colt Oregon Trail
Round Nose Flat Point Boolits.

The Picture you posted was excellent, and didn't need
a thousand words of explanation.

While Elk Hunting in Wyoming my Bear Defense Reload
is the Montana Bullet Co. 270gr SWC RCBS hard cast.

Luckily I have never had the opportunity to use it.

Thanks again, and the Best to you in the New Year,
and your Endeavors.
