Joe S.
Hunter
Well, the other day it was unseasonably warm, and ain't no way was I going to fight the mosquitos to deer hunt, so I decided to sight in the 45 Bisley Hunter. I had mounted the Nikon that was on my 44 on the new Weigand rail and rings several weeks ago, and had been itching to shoot this bad boy. All I did to the gun was ream the throats to 0.4525" with my Manson Reamer and bend the factory trigger return spring. The trigger is pretty crisp and not terribly rough. I grabbed my Bog Pod and PSR and sighted her in at 20 yards then moved back to 50. I am pretty happy with the results of the Mihec Molds Ruger Only 307 grainer with my go-to load of WW296. Now if I can just see a deer... :
