Nice job, and selection of wood. Looks like a wood spirit peeking out of the buttstock. I see impressions of forehead (and a small horn) eyes, nose and a bearded chin.
That is beautiful. Never seen a sycamore gunstock before, never dreamed it could be that pretty. I know it is some tough stuff to split if you're trying to burn it for firewood. Best wait till it's about 20° outside, then you can split it.
