I want a 4" 28 that's been rechambered to 41 magnum. "Old School" Mountain Gun.

Never heard of such a thing, but there's no reason it couldn't be done. I've seen them converted to .44 Special.

My model 28 is at Andy Horvath's with a rebored 4" model 28 barrel in 41 and he will rechamber the cylinder to 41 Special. It wears an old set if ivory magnas. 41 Special brass lets me run longer cast bullets in the shorter cylinder.

That's a nice old 28. It's been a long time since I've had one, and don't really put it into the favorite category, I tend to prefer the 66 or even the 686. Even so, I'd put one my favorite 357 Double Actions as a Ruger Security Six. I started life as a Smith guy and still like several of the older models before the put the zit on the side of the frame, but these days, my interests have waned.

I've got one 28-2, and I'm more accurate a shooter with it than with any other of my handguns. I ditched the much too small (for me) magna grips in favor of target sized dress whites.
