I recently traded into my first Colt SAA. a 2008 gun in 44-40 that is very well put together and finished unlike some of the 3rd generation guns.

I have a Iron Frame Henry and a 1866 Winchester in 44WCF/44-40. A little info WCF stands for Winchester Central (not center) Fire
To be true even though it is marked SAA which was the 45 Colt.
The 44WCF was The Model P or the "Frontier Six Shooter",
The Colt Frontier or Frontier Six-Shooter was a Colt's 1873 "Model P" type revolver manufactured in .44-40 Winchester caliber instead of .45 Colt (in which configuration it was called the Single Action Army) so that it was compatible with Winchester Model 1873 ammunition. Production began in 1877. Colt Frontier Six-Shooter was the actual name of the Colt pistol model, and this was acid-etched on the left side of the barrel. After 1889, the legend was roll-stamped until 1919, when the caliber designation ".44-40" was added. Later Colt 1878 Double Action Army Models also wore this designation on the barrel when chambered in .44 WCF/.44-40 Winchester.
