Such beautiful, majestic birds. I tried raising them for awhile. My male looked like that. His name was Rusty, after his call that sounded like an old rusty gate.

That's a beautiful picture of a beautiful Cock Bird. I only wish that we had them in large enough numbers state wide to hunt,,a far cry from the 50's & 60's,, :cry: :cry:

I guess stocked. They were started in the 1960s and have become native since. In the 70s and 80s our pheasant populations would rival the best in the nation....not so now but they are coming back. Dr.C
