Two of the older grandson's slipped away a couple of evenings ago & really hammered some big Cutthroats & Rainbows & a couple of "Cutbows", yes they are crosses! They landed 23 fish, lost 8 & released all that they landed.
Last night me & Shane went by ourselves, just like old times & we caught some dandies along with one Cutbow. I caught one that made 2 huge jumps out of the water, they are fat & scrappy, really strong fish. My biggest fish took line off my reel like a chain saw & came back up river (we fish 3 different rivers) & wrapped around Shane's legs. We never thought we would land him but we did.
The water was really clear with a nice gravel bottom & we found an old milk can standing in the middle of the river, no telling how many years it's been there. You can see it in the last photo, it's about 12-15 inches under water.

Please don't tell me it's dry fly

Hi,

Jim, have you ever seen a double barrelled fly rod like that before?

No wonder these guys were hauling 'em in like that... :)

Well I didn't want to mention that when things get slow which is most of the time. I use a pink and black barbless HAND GRENADE. :D :D

Guys, I've been holding back but the kids have still been hammering them. The grandson with the fly rod just caught a beautiful 21" fighter that jumped 3-4 times in the fading sunlight, he was loving it. They caught some more "Cutbows" & my son Shane caught a monster German Brown. Even the 2 little guys have 7-8 4 pounders under there belt. Yes we have lots more photo's but I don't want threatening texts!!!!

I too love the pictures. Jealous-yes, but that is a personal problem! RF in the AM with my coffee, and pictures of a family doing life right! What is not to like?
