We get quite a few hummingbirds in the Prescott, Az area in the summertime and the wife and I like to sit out on the back porch after supper and watch them. Gets pretty busy and we almost need a flight controller at times, but they seem to make it without too many problems, even while fighting with each other. We get mostly Black Chinned types, but a Rufous or Broad Tailed one shows up every so often, and the fights really on. August is the busiest month as the chicks are off the nest and adding to the commotion. We have 4 feeders in the back and 3 more up front and I make a batch of juice about twice a week at least, five quarts at a time, go through a lot of sugar each year. They start in May and the last ones leave in late October, early November. Here's a shot of each feeder in the back with a typical number of birds on it in the evening. The three feeder out front have almost as many birds on them at the same time.
There's seven birds in this picture:

Wow, that's great!
We get hummingbirds often in Tucson on some of our shrubs (Cape Honeysuckle seems the favorite) but we don't have any feeders.
It's always a treat when we get a visit from a hummingbird.

BTW, anyone visiting Tucson who likes hummingbirds should check out the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum.
There is an enclosed hummingbird exhibit with dozens (?) of birds flying around, you just have to sit still and watch them.
