This one has an all-steel construction - weighs 31 oz. Hmmm... interesting...

Would be better if it were 10mm.

Would be even better yet with an alloy frame and 4" barrel.

Did someone say ".45, alloy frame, and 4" barrel"?

https://ruger.com/products/sr1911/specSheets/6711.html

I am disappointed that the .45 'officer's' is not an alloy frame. These compact guns are meant to be carried more than shot. Weight does matter. I understand the trade off over felt recoil and durability but.....

Only thing missing is "officer" alloy frame.

I have been waiting on an officer 45 from ruger. I found a gently used sig ultra 2 tone at the lgs for 500 then the next day ruger announces their officers 45. Im still happy with the sig especially with the price I paid.

Good snag on the Sig. The ally frame is an advantage, IMO. 9 or 45?

I would buy an alloy frame officers model.
