Light primer strikes in a SR1911 9mm Target.

So I just picked up one of the 9mm target models, and I had a number of light primer strikes (about 10 in 400 rounds) in my reloads, Winchester whitebox and Federal AE. A 2nd strike will ignite them. I don't have a problem with any other 9mm that I have (3rd gen G17, KelTec SUB2000, JARD J67 and S&W SD9).

I cleaned the firing pin channel and there's no burrs on the firing pin. The spring on the firing pin seems awfully long and robust. I was thinking of trimming a few coils off of it.

Anything else I should check?

Good Day,
It might be worth your while to buy a replacement spring first so you can compare lengths and coil size. It's never a bad decision to have a few spare parts around.
Best,
Rob
