Anyone know if standard 1911 type recoil springs can be used in the SR1911 10mm?

I think the factory spring is 19#, want to put something a little heavier in.

Have put flat spring (Wilson?) in 45ACP SR1911, good results.

Just curious because of the recoil spring design on the SR1911 10mm.

I don't have an SR1911-10 but I do have a Kimber. The Kimber spring for
10mm is distinctly different from their 1911-45 spring. I'll bet that the
Ruger is also different, because of the difference in recoil impulse.

I found an interesting article where the SR1911-10 uses the same recoil and main spring as the SR1911....

Of course the 10mm has the bull barrel and FLGR. It is more than 2.5 ounces heavier than my SR1911 in 45.
