Got to the range today with my 1911 full sized. Shooting my reloads of 230 gn Berry's RN, CCI large pistol primers and 7 gn of Power Pistol. My 15 yard off hand group was consistent at about 4". Which for a 70 year old will be more than sufficient at 3 AM standing in my bedroom door. What a joy to shoot as well. Super nice trigger with a distinct crisp let off. My Labradar gave me anything from 860 FPS to 811 FPS which was what I expected out of this load. (book said 825). I'm still a happy camper with this purchase.

Glad you like your new 1911. I know I love mine. I shouldn't be surprised by now but I'm always happy how well it shoots, especially after I have used a smaller gun. Larger guns whether it be a revolver or 1911 (my favorite) just suit me better. A 4" group at 15 yards is pretty darn good. Congrats on your purchase!
