Just a word to the wise...If you're thinking about using the over-travel stop as "back door" means of adjusting sear engagement, don't. It aint meant for that.

Hello, the tool is a t-6 , I got a short Allen wrench one from KC Tool for $3.00 that works great. After taking the gun all a part last night I can tell you all internal parts were in nice shape,no ruff edges anywhere . All parts mate up /fit good... Ruger did a good job on this gun.......

Why you say this , will it harm the sear? I just back it out a little to smooth it up. tks for replies.....

With that said, what I use is this.

YMMV and . . . no . . . warranty.

I"m not a factory Rep, nor do I play on on the internet!

MY warranty will be just fine, no parts where filed or stoned ,just cleaned , inspected and lightly oiled…

What I say is this :
wxzy Only consider taking advise from those who know"s the whole story …

Have a great Day

Ruger does not include the Allen wrench to adjust that because they recommend you not adjust it.

That's nice . . . . but an improperly "adjusted" over travel can render the
gun useless.

Mine (the . . . one . . . I've had to mess with) got to the point of not letting
the hammer contact the firing pin. Keep in mind that I had done ZERO
adjustment to it (CZ CBOB) yet it ceased firing when you pulled the
trigger. SO . . . I contacted CZ and asked what happened.

The process in my web page is the information they sent.
Guess what.
It works.
CZ even knows how to adjust their over travel.
