Has anyone seen the finish wearing off on the front strap and around the edges of the back strap.?
I'm assuming this is aluminum and sweaty hands are doing it's job. Any ideas?

Thanks

any rubbing on satin finish can and will make the area "more shiny" as the matte wears, or is actually becoming polished.....as noted the SR1911 is stainless and stainless is pretty soft on the surface actually, you can glass bead (used beads , at a low pressure setting will blend it all back in quite easily.....or rough it up with 3M Scotchbrite pads, just keep it in the same direction ( on such as the front strap, back and forth ,left to right, across the grip frame, will blend in very nicely.........remember too if you wear jewelry or rings, on your fingers, they can and will 'mar' the surfaces..........same goes for "working the slide" and you have a ring on
