OK, so the first thing you might notice about this Super Blackhawk is that the grips have been non-professionally checkered. But the real oddity of this gun is that it is from 1968 production yet has the old non "INC." barrel rollmark. Generally speaking, Ruger added the "INC." to their name starting in 1964. Now, there is a known batch of later Supers with the early non-INC. rollmark, but the highest known (until now) of that batch is a 1967 gun at SN 31560. This 1968 gun is 34422, so quite a gap and a new high number for that variation. Pretty nice condition with a little wear. There is a ding right at the left side of the muzzle that I tried to show in the close up, a light cylinder line, and of course, those grips. Action is not converted. The box is numbered to the gun but is a bit rough on each end. The back end has a blown out corner and some paper missing, but inside the box are the reinforcing corner piece that could be glued back in, and a couple scraps of the missing black paper. If you collect old model Super Blackhawks, this would be a very interesting example to add to your collection as the new high number for non-INC. rollmarked barrels.
