I recently purchased a OM single six light weight all blued alloy cylinder (LWAC) revolver. 205617. Overall gun is in great shape. Unfortunately, some time in it's long history, the original all blue alloy LR cylinder was replaced with a steel LR cylinder. The rest of the gun is all origional.

Would like to buy a all blue alloy cylinder to put the gun back to original.

I have old model single six parts including a really nice extra gold / tricolor LR cylinder as trading stock.

Turn the gun upside down and look in front of the trigger guard on the frame. Is there a "S" stamped there? Ruger had a few Lightweights that had problems with their finish. These guns were held back and shipped at later date, 1964, or 1965, not sure. These guns could have a newer XR3-RED grip frame, with Walnut grips, maybe an aluminum ejector rod housing, and a Steel cylinder. Most of the guns had a "S" stamped in with the serial number, and a few had the "S" stamped in front of the trigger guard. This denotes a factory second gun.

Just about all of these guns were tri-color guns but only a handful were the all blue guns. This variation is extremely rare. So check and see if that gun has the S in front of the trigger guard. If it does then the cylinder is probably correct.
