Nice Super Bearcat with the gold anodized trigger guard like the earlier regular Bearcat had. The difference between a Bearcat and a Super Bearcat is that the one-piece cylinder frame/grip frame on the Super is steel as opposed to alloy on the Bearcat. The first Supers used the same gold anodized alloy trigger guard, then later changed to a blue steel trigger guard to give those later guns an all-blue appearance. Condition is excellent with just a light cylinder line and no safety conversion. This is the variation which does not have ".22 CAL." on the barrel. The original box is numbered to the gun. The box has some blue striations inside as shown, and the paper lining the inside of the bottom part is puckered. I would guess that the blue color is diluted black ink from the outer part that leached out when the box got damp. I doubt that the gun was in the box at that time since there is no evidence of any rust or moisture marking on the gun itself. Serial number dates to 1972 and on the side of the bottom half of the box is an original price sticker from those Nixon-era days. No papers.

SPF (Was $525) $500 shipped FFL to FFL
