Not sure any of the 6 David made have changed hands, but they are just not proving to be my thing. I haven’t shot it but 18 times, and it didnt tickle my fancy.

I have 2, and not sure I want either, but certainly don’t need more than 1.

Going to start at $3,000 shipped and see what happens.

3.75” barrel
Shopkeeper frame
Fixed sight
Scalloped shields
Dovetail front sight.

David said the grip frame didn’t need decked so it’s ready for grips.

Some pics... happy to take more...

I still have one held back for later :-)

Still looking for a Linebaugh or Bowen custom 5 shot .45 Bisley vaquero too in case anyone has one to play with for figuring out a trade.

Just for any of us (like me) that do not run in the custom gun circle; is it a 5 shot or still a 6 shot? All new cylinder I presume? It certainly is beautiful and I would love to own just one custom gun in my life. That would probably be it. LOVE the 327. Cannot afford that though. Sure is beautiful.

From the position of the cyl notches, it's a 5 shot.

It’s a 5-shot. New barrel, new ejector rod housing, new cylinder.

Like most caliber conversions the frame and some internals are about all that’s stock.

I really like the idea of guns being physically small for the power they deliver so love 500Ls, .38 single sixes, .45 5 shots, etc. but like heavy and slow. Even heavy and slow, this is quite a snappy little package, so keeping my longer barreled, standard grip frame version and passing this one on.

In terms of a handy little carry piece or trail gun ( in non grizzly country) for infrequent use, I’d be hard pressed to find any faults with this option.

I think a birds head .327 single seven would be a sweetheart for anyone not going the custom route. I have 2 .38 single sixes being made right now because that configuration just feels and shoots sooooo comfy.

But I digress... frequently...

LOL! I have two of the single seven birdsheads and they are my “last thing I would ever sell” guns. I have always been fascinated by the conversions but can not afford one. Thank you for the answers. I wish you the best on the 38 single sixes and hope you will show them to us when possible.

The Single Seven Birdshead in 327 is one of my all time favorite guns.
