Selling a Ruger Compact Hawkeye in 7.62x39. Bought this a few months ago from Heliman, but as it turns out... my Son prefers the longer barrel on my Black and Stainless one, so he'll get to use mine and this one is up for sale.

Rifle is in very nice condition and has some gorgeous wood. Only faults I see are some light blue wear at the edge of the muzzle (could not get a pic to show it), and some very minor handling marks here and there in the wood (nothing deep or ugly- again cant get to show in pics). Gun is not new, but I'm pretty picky and was very impressed by the condition when I got it. This is one of the earlier Hawkeyes with the satin blue finish.

Pics are the ones Heliman took when he sold it to me (other than the closeup of the stock which I took). Rifle only saw one range session after I bought it, so the pics are accurate (and better than I could get!!)

Looking for $800 shipped on it to your FFL from a non-dealer. I haven't done many deals on this board, but I've done plenty of deals on 24hr and can provide references if needed.

PM me with any questions

Is this the one I owned Heliman? Looks like it. If so, this is a GREAT shooting little carbine!!

Yea. Yall this one will do 1"-1.25" groups at 100 with the right load. I used a 4.5x scope on it too.

I'm in NC. Sorry I missed that on my original post.

Thanks to everyone for the history on the rifle as well. Glad to hear it's a good shooter!
