I'd be in for less than $200. Not so much for "Less than $300".

The walnut Revolution stock for the Mini-14 from Keystone Sporting Arms sells for $200 (I know, I have one and it's very nice) so one with a folding metal buttstock would likely be more material cost wise, let alone the assembly costs on top of that, so I'd be hard pressed to say that the $300 range is exorbitant. Just sayin.

IMO, the Mini has priced itself out of the market as has all the accessories. I had an original Mini 14 which I bought for less than $300. Sold it when the Mini 30 came out. I think I paid less than $350 for the 30 which I still have. And while I like them a lot there is just no reason why they cost $800-900+ when you can buy a decent quality AR15 for $500. So $300 for a stock may not be exorbitant to you but it is to me. But hey, that's just me. I wish Sampson good fortune in selling their stock.

I'm too lazy to figure how to avoid the "you've tried to quote 3 posts" rejection notice, but regarding $300.00 as "too much" - I see a lot of injection molded AR stocks going for $200.00 to $400.00. Some pretty plain aluminum extruded bolt chassis for over $500.00 and a mix of both for a grand. A walnut and steel folder with fitting and moving parts for about $300.00 doesn't seem out of line at all. As with the aforementioned AR stock and others, I presume the manufacturer wants to move their product and make a fair profit and is making their best effort to do so, rather than having them as inventory gathering dust.
