I have a 77R in 280 with red pad and tang safety that I haven't used in years, ser # 72-xxxxx. A guy has been after me for a year or longer to price it. I've looked on gunbroker several times and never see one. Any idea what it should be worth?
Thanks y'all!!

Condition is everything and you don't mention that.

If it's in really nice shape I'd guess the other two estimates here are a wee bit low. It's not especially rare but it is an uncommon caliber that makes it worth considerably more than a 270 or 30-06.

I would say condition is very good+.
That's my thought too, you hardly ever see a 280 in this area by any maker. I'm not tryin to skin this guy on the price, but I don't want to slight myself neither. I'll probly price it well above a 270 or 30-06 and see where we go from there.
Thank you very much!
