I have a ruger RL 12ga 26" barrel(SS receiver blue barrels) with 7 choke tubes in the box that I fired 25 times in like new condition and would like to sell it. I know they have gotten a lot of bad press.
Unfortunately the 26 inch barrels don't command as much as the 28s or 30s. Most people that own Red Labels like them. Typical prices on gunbroker hover around $900-$1,100. Good wood will go a long way toward helping you get a better price. Of course if you have an engraved model that will get a better price too.
Couple of questions ....
Are you referring to the "old model" RLs or the newer offering by Ruger?
Also, what kind of bad press? Again, is this the older O/Us or the newer ones?
i fired one box of high brass 1-1/4 # 6 shot with no problems, its a older model #04160, serial #411-330xx. i read they had problems with them and stopped making them and later started making them again. i don,t think they make them today.
