The book shows 1V in 1978 came in 22-250, 25-06, 7mm & 300 Mag. 1979 added the 220 Swift and eliminated the 7mm & 300. Sometimes a receiver sat on the shelf before being finished and may fall out of Ruger's published range. Did you get a letter on it?Heavy Barrel said:RSIno1 said:Claytons book

I'm a little confused.
According to Ruger website,serial number range started with
131-46676 in 1979.My 1V 220 Swift ser # 131-42304 makes it 1978.
I had contacted Ruger 10 yrs ago when I purchased it and they said at that time it was 1978 production.
