I also just purchased a mini 30. Took it to the range and it would fire occasionally with many misfires. Took it to the gunsmith found a sliver of metal where the barrel screws into the receiver which would prevent the bolt from fully locking up which caused the misfires. Rifle fixed, took it to the range and if I kept the barrel heat down (1 shot every 5 to 10 minutes) the gun was capable of less than 1 in. Load was 31.5 gr of BLc (2) w/ Hornady brass & 123 gr bullets.
