I just bought a Ruger Ranch Rifle in 556 / 223 what is the best scope to put on there for coyote hunting. Looking for some ideals for a scope under $200.

For less than $200 I'd have to reccomend the Redfield "Revolution" 3 X 9 variable. Made in the USA at the Leupold factory. I've put several on my rifles, a Ruger American 30/06, a 10/22 Sporter and a CZ 527 in 7.62 X 39. Sturdy, hold zero, good field of view and clarity. You can have your dealer special order it and probably get it for $165 or so.....

Bushnell makes a number of scopes under $200 with bullet drop compensaters correlated to the 223. Look for them as AR223 scopes. They come in various powers.

I have a couple of their 1-4x AR223 scopes on my ARs but I would look at their 3-9x or 3-12x40 for hunting coyotes.
