The parts below are the parts I had to modify. I had to file a groove in the sight base when I lowered the aperture.
The winged part was all the same thickness approx. 1/16" I had to thin the wings down as you can see in the picture and bend them to allow the sight aperture come down, it is steel and not aluminum. Luckilythe sight aperture is directly over a slot in the sight rail. You can see the bent part of the wings below the windage adjustment screws, you can also see the longer pins that had to be made to put downward pressure on the windage screws. I believe the pins are .078 piano wire / rod came in 3 ft length and I believe the pin length I ended up using was .30.
It shoots to point of aim for me.
