Old topic I know but I have a Ruger No 3 22 hornet with weaver #85 #86 bases but the front base is at a slant and I know that I can shim it but is there a drop in tapered base that accepts Ruger rings available that wont need gunsmithing? Thanks yall

I too would be interested in the solution. I was thinking about finding bases for my #3/44 but didn't know what to use.
Just looked at the front location and that is a pretty decent tapper!

Not been too long ago, Ruger still had bases for the No 3; I say so as I purchased several pairs for No3 s that I needed based for. It may not be the case today.

Ruger no longer stocks parts for the No3 . they recommend Numrich or Jack first. Of the two Numrich has the front base but not the rear.
