Ruger M77 Compact Stainless in 308 is a Shooter!

Picked this up on GB a couple of weeks ago for $425. Looks like it was not shot at all. Upgraded to a Jard trigger for $60 (no other mods have been done). Finally got dies, brass, and bullets. The very first load resulted in the group shown in the second picture. This thing is a shooter!

The scope is off one of my other guns. I put it on for load development. A small one is in the works now that I know it is a shooter.

Nice rifle! I do the same, load development with a 25x or 36x scope and then put on the hunting optics.

I have one of those rifles in 260, that shoots 120 Nosler BT's into a nice little group like that. Great shooting little rifle.
