posting this for Rugerjunkie >>
I have a pic of the 357 max encore but no way to put it on the forum here anymore. I could email it and start a new thread if someone wanted to post it up for me.

rugerjunkie if you want to start your own post just let me know and I'll copy the picture over to it and have this one closed out

Hope I'm doing this right , man this is a good looking rifle

Thanks for putting that up!

357 Maximum , MGM stainless 20" barrel , and a Weaver Grand Slam 1.5-5x scope in Burris Signature rings.

Ive had it for a while now but have been too busy to shoot it. Hoping to change that real soon and I hope it shoots like that 350 American rifle!

I think MGM has done more for the T-C brand than any other factor, except the original Contender design, which made all that has come after it possible.

And they're VERY nice folks, too!

Hey Mike.

This is my first go round with any TC product but read
nothing but good stuff on MGM. Specifically with the chamber used for the 357 Max without a forcing cone chamber. Should be a good shooting barrel!!

Yours looks great. Love my Encore. Picked it up for a song when Galyans was going out of business. 204 Ruger and 50 cal ML barrels. Bellm(?) trigger and barrel pin and both shoot better than I can.

Ive read a lot from Bellm and his work with the 357 Max. I had Super Blackhawks in the Maximum for years but sold them all off a while back. The Encore seemed like a good tool for burning up some of this old ammo I have loaded up so I can make some more! When Starline started making brass for the Max , that helped make up my mind on my first caliber for the Encore.

Nice looking carbine. Should be a good shooter. I have 3 Encore actions. Handgun barrels in 357, 44, 223, and 243. Long barrels is 45/70, 20 gauge rifled, and 50 cal muzzle loader. These things multiply much like Rugers do...

MGM makes some really nice barrels.

I can already see more in the future. Been thinking about an original Contender frame and 22 barrel and Im eyeballing a 445 supermag barrel.

Very cool! Im hoping we see some new Marlin lever guns in the future with Ruger and the new acquisition.

Im a 35 Rem fan but have always read it is a finicky round in the TC platform. I have 336's and a Remington XP-100 to fill the need there. After a 445 barrel it more than likely going to be a 221 Fireball.

The 221 has been one of my favorites for 30 or so years now. I have rifles
and 4-5 XP-100's in it! Gonna have to do inventory...can't recall how many I currently have!

I'll probably go with another carbine length barrel like the 357 Max.

Dan in Mi nice buck , way to go

Man I too really like T/C stuff , I have 5 Encore frames , rifles barrels in 204 Ruger , 243, 30 T/C , 280, 7mm Mag, 405Win., and 50cal BP, no pistol barrels , those are all on Contender frames , with out digging them out of the safe I'm not sure how many of those I have but some of the barrels are in 22, 357, 41 mag, 7mm TCU, rifle barrels in 30-30 21", 7 x 30 Waters 21", 223 in both super 16 and 21", 375 Win and 45 cal BP. I know I did have 44 mag and 45 colt /410 but i think those where sold or traded off

I've had thoughts of getting some thing like a super 16 in 30 Badger ( 38 special case necked down to 30 cal ) just for a fun plinker but haven't got around to going any research on it, why the super 16 because then you could use it as a long barreled pistol or short rifle

I have a similar inventory - odd stuff but in a different way. 375 H&H handgun, 405 Win handgun & 45/70. 8mm Mauser & 308 and 350 Rem Mag. The 350 is a ball to shoot - 110 JHP pistol bullets at about 3,000 fps. Probably not good for much other than mostly liquid targets.

Over the years I've started to lean to the lighter stuff in rifles - 25/35 WCF, 30 Carbine, some 22 centerfire and 6mm, 257 Weatherby. I do have a 1" bull barrel in 340 Weatherby. Really can't say why .... :?

Nearly all MGM made stuff, with some odds & ends by Bellm. They do great work.

Dont know who you were asking here but I loaded with 4227 and 180 grain Hornady XTP's. That was for revolver use and I don't know if I'll be changing powders for a carbine length barrel now or not.
