Just curious how many of our members here on the Ruger Forum have a CCW permit?

And, if you don't have a permit, do you plan on getting one?

I voted for "I have a permit" even though I do not have it yet. It will be here in the next week or so, I have already done all the required process including pay all the fees. I am just waiting on my prints to get back from the FBI and come back clean.

Does having a card from the Sheriff saying that I have full powers of arrest count as having a CCW card? I voted yes anyway.

I've had a Permit since I was old enough to do so. My son and daughters have done the same. Along with being NRA Members.

I do not have a CCW permit. I never felt like I needed one. (I'm not saying that I'm carrying without a permit - I'm just not carrying) But I may change my mind later on that.

I did receive a CERTIFICATE OF COMPETENCY (AF Form IMT 483, 19850201, V2) yesterday from the local Air Force base. We are doing a replacement of a major storm drain under the runway and need this card to be on the flightline. It's gonna feel just like the old days at RAF Upper Heyford. (except for the heat) So now I'm Certified Competent!

It's not a problem to get one here in Alabama... No prints....no questions.. A "shall issue" state.

I finally broke down and took the class last Friday, reluctantly. My carry permit was written over 200 years ago by men much smarter than those writing laws today. I need to move to AK.

I always have a firearm in my personal vehical and it is unloaded and stored in accordance with state law. I decided recently I need to carry full time. I don't want to become a felon, so off to class I went, my lovely bride went with me. $315.50 ($50 for class x 2, $65.25 for fees x 2, $25 for gas, $60 for babysitter) to do something that was recognised as an inallienable right over 200 years ago. I could puke. Add the fact that I am not a sheep, I do not like to run through the shoots and get sheard. One gate closer to the slaughter house. I feel like a traitor. I hate compromise.

There should have been a catagory for "I want one but can't get one in my county or state".

To all the bad guys out there - maybe I do, maybe I don't. Willing to risk it?

To all the good guys out there - I've got your back.

Peace and God bless, Wolfsong.

Got one about 6 months ago and I have no clue whay I didn't get one before. Of course I lived in Seattle for 19 years and I'm guessing it's harder to get there than here in AZ.
