The forgotten .17 - Ruger 8375

This is the first new model in years, chambered for the .17 Mach II - good on Whittaker and Ruger for making these available (if only for a limited run).

Any range report?

Was just at the range with it again this morning... shooting up the last few rounds of my old Remington ammo, and then a few magazines full of CCIs 17gr VNT load.

No issues, and very good accuracy. Not as much 'fun' as my 10/22 conversion in .17, but fun enough.

Picked mine up at Whittaker's yesterday. I have #220 of the 300 gun lot. I was told they still have several in stock. Mounted a scope last night, and hope to get some range time this week.

What rings to use with supplied rail?

Weaver rings fit the factory base just fine, and most of my rim-fire rifles do quite well with the Weaver Quad-Lock rings.
