I have an early 3 digit auto that I need a set of grips for. It should have the aluminum bushings in them but all I have are the regular red eagle grips. I have the screws, but need the grips. I will pay a fair price for them. If you have a set for sale, PLEASE PM me with a price and if you can send after PM contact, I would like an outside photo of them too please. Thanks.

the grips he is referring to were only the real early Standard autos, had the silver-colored ring around the screw heads and that ended with the Type III red eagles at about serial number #3648, this info can be found in the "Encyclopedia of Ruger semi auto pistols of 1949-1992" by Chad Hiddleson, a GOOD reference book for collectors of the early 22 semi autos........supposedly the removal of these bushings ( or escutcheons?) was a cost cutting move by Ruger back in mid March of 1950.......
I recall High Standard did this also back in the old days.......

sorry but we do not have any 'spare' sets of those grips...... 8)
