So, I decided to upgrade my Ruger Mark IV 22/45 Lite with all the Volquartsen parts available. The only thing Ruger on it is the frame. VQ has a new name for this gun, The Mamba.

There is was, sitting in my safe just taking up space, the upper for the Mark IV. I needed a new frame and Wirthwein Guns had one on sale. I thought about it overnight and placed my order. Surprisingly I got the frame with the Gold Trigger and it was a dream. Trigger pull was a crisp 3 3/4 pounds.

Not leaving it stock I ordered the Volquarten Kit without trigger from Tandemkross. I had a spare VQ trigger and didn't need to buy another one. Once I got the parts put together I decided to stone all the internal parts with my stones. I got the trigger pull down to 3 pounds but I put the VQ kit in and it went down to 1 1/2 pounds with no crepe and no take-up.

The gun works 100% with the same magazines that work in my VQ Mamba.
