Ruger Stainless Bisley at Bud's

Ten left for $379.00- I just ordered one-Dave

These are .22's, I stumbled onto info about them on Rimfire central under "ghost bisley " can't find any info on the Ruger website- Dave

Bud's is calling it a Blackhawk Bisley, which is incorrect. It's a Single-Six!

Distributor exclusive, IIRC. That might explain the "ghost" references. With all due respect, anyone calling it a "ghost" gun just doesn't know where to look!

Ruger Forum user "acrylictnk" was selling these here. He had them starting in the summer of 2017, then he had another batch of them later.

GREAT guy to deal with, personal service and good prices. He's made several Distributor Exclusives available to us here, when they were very hard/nearly impossible to get elsewhere.

I was sure this revolver was a Distributor Exclusive from Lipsey's, but I was wrong.

Why not an extra cylinder for .22 Mag for a gun of this size?

Traditionally, the Ruger .22 Bisley models have not come with a .22WMR cylinder.

I think the rationale is that the Bisley-gripped models are intended primarily as "target" guns, so the .22LR cartridge is sufficient. This also helps keep the cost down, since there is no second cylinder.

Some of the Bisley Hunter models in centerfire chamberings might blow a hole in my "target gun" theory, though...

If there is more to the story, I'd be happy to hear it.

Great shooter.

I'll let the more knowledgeable talk about the advantages of this gun in 22LR only.

It is my favorite 22 LR plinker.

My poor MKII slab side sits alone in the safe dreaming about years past.
